Vaporwave Text Generator: Ｆｕｌｌｗｉｄｔｈ Aesthetic Text

Ｖａｐｏｒｗａｖｅ text is not a font. It is the fullwidth forms, a block Unicode added so Latin letters could sit on the same grid as Japanese characters, where every glyph occupies one square cell. On a 1980s Japanese computer an A took the same width as あ, and the look of that grid is exactly what the vaporwave aesthetic copied from old Japanese software and mall advertising. Type a word and every letter, digit and piece of punctuation swaps for its fullwidth twin: A becomes Ａ, 1 becomes １, and the space becomes U+3000, the ideographic space, which is why the words sit so far apart.

The second style, Extreme Spaced, does something different: it keeps ordinary letters and puts real spaces between them, so a word reads as one letter at a time. It is what people mean by aesthetic spacing when the fullwidth look is too heavy, and it works where fullwidth does not, because the letters stay ASCII underneath. The trade-off is length: spacing a word doubles its character count, and fullwidth does not, so in a 150-character Instagram bio the fullwidth version is the one that fits.

Both styles map the whole alphabet and all ten digits, and fullwidth maps punctuation too. Nothing is left behind, which is unusual on this site and worth saying: the glyph maps below have no dashed cells at all.

Where it renders: everywhere, because the fullwidth block is older than the web and every system font covers it. It looks the same on iPhone, Android and desktop, and it is the safest of the decorative styles for that reason. One caution that applies to all of them: the letters are not the ordinary A–Z, so search, hashtags and @mentions do not match them.
